WHAT WE DO

Ubik media is a science communication agency that specialises in communicating and transferring research, innovation and technology.

Our activity allows us to position, provide visibility to, transfer knowledge and capitalise on the research activity of our clients, which include universities, research centres, groups and research parks, as well as companies with a strong focus on R+D.

We have over 10 years of experience and a team of professionals with scientific and technical profiles backed up by extensive experience in the communication sector.

COMMUNICATION STRATEGY

CORPORATE · INTERNAL · CRISIS · DIGITAL

Communication is too important for your organisation to leave it up to chance. That’s why we analyse your activity and set out a strategy that culminates in a communication action map that you can use to reach your objectives.

We also develop communication protocols that allow you to control your communications in crisis situations.

DIGITAL COMMUNICATION

SOCIAL MEDIA · WEBSITES · APPS · IMMERSIVE TECHNOLOGY

We manage the content on your social media and digital spaces, we get the most out of your online communities, we increase  engagement with your target audience and we help you improve your brand’s positioning and digital reputation.
We conceptualise and design your website or app based on your requirements, those of the potential user and the image of your centre or company.
We use immersive technology as a marketing and educational tool with a far-reaching impact.

European projects

communication · proposal writing · websites · social media · other projects

We can accompany you from the drafting of your proposal to the management of the communication plan, or specific actions once the project has been awarded.

  • We optimize the main messages of your proposal and design the communication strategy to improve the potential of your candidacy.
  • We conceptualize and manage the communication of your project, both digital and offline, with the experience of having worked face-to-face and remotely with international teams in Europe and other parts of the world.
  • We have a multilingual team with scientific training as well as an in-house multimedia production team to design communication products that adapt to your needs and amplify your voice optimally in each channel.

We also work with nationally and regionally competitive projects or projects that accompany private fundraising strategies.

PRESS

WRITING PRESS RELEASES · MANAGEMENT · ONLINE AND OFFLINE MEDIA FOLLOW UP

We work to make sure your organisation becomes better known in the media and gets positioned as a leader in the sector, while fighting to ensure all content is accurate.

CONSULTANCY

COMMUNICATION AUDITS · SCIENCE COMMUNICATION ADVICE · KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER

We listen to you. We analyse the problem and needs that affect your R&D activity and we develop effective approaches. Our mission? Bringing down barriers, highlighting and securing strengths, and reducing the weaknesses in your organisation.

MULTIMEDIA

AUDIOVISUAL · GIFS · INFOGRAPHICS · EXHIBITIONS

We capture the values of your centre or company with an image. We take highly technical content and turn it into a visually attractive final product, in the form of an infographic or museum exhibition.

EVENTS

CORPORATE EVENTS · WORKSHOPS · SEMINARS · CONFERENCES

We believe that smaller scales are important to create unforgettable, unique experiences. That’s why we plan and promote events, conferences, workshops and seminars with audiences of no more than 300 people.

BUSINESS VENTURES

SALES COACHING · OPPORTUNITY SEEKING · MARKETING PLANS

Informing the general public of research results is one of our key tasks, but it is not easy to achieve. That’s why, as an agency working in R&D, we make sure not to forget it. We offer a variety of very practical services in this area, focused on maximising opportunities in order to successfully reach your target market.

  • We work alongside centres in the process of valuing knowledge transfer projects.
  • We act as opinion leaders in closely related sectors.
  • We co-define marketing plans together with heads of innovation.
  • We organise sessions to draft business model canvases.
  • We work on improving the commercial skills of research staff.
  • We offer workshops aimed at summarising and prioritising value propositions.

TRAINING AND MENTORING

PUBLIC SPEAKING · PITCHING · SALES TECHNIQUES · COMMUNICATION SKILLS

We give training courses in the field of communication for technical and research staff in both the public and private sector. Our aim is to develop the communication skills of participants so that they are independent when handling the communication of their own projects. Although we design our training programmes to measure, we also use the broad training programme shown below, which has proven to be very successful with our clients:

  • Basic communication skills. We target the following skills:
    • The ability to analyse the target audience and adapt the discourse accordingly.
    • Coming up with slogans and messages that make an impression.
    • Naming techniques.
    • Using storytelling and emotional communication.
  • Corporate visual identity. Training aimed at introducing the most important aspects and following guidelines during the process of designing a logo, based on the brand briefing.
  • The art of presenting. This module aims at working on giving speeches and the audiovisual support associated with project presentations. It also features techniques and exercises aimed at giving your best while “on stage”.
  • Your elevator pitch. How to convince a potential investor or client in two minutes or less. This module provides students with the tools they need to draft and give a speech that acts as an effective sales pitch.
  • Attending trade fairs: successful practices. There is no doubt that taking part in trade fairs is one of the commercial actions most frequently used by entrepreneurs when trying to get their business idea on the market. However, it is also one of the most frustrating options, as the return on investment isn’t always as expected. In this module, participants can learn the most important points they need to successfully take part in trade fairs.
  • Communication strategy. The aim of this part of the training is to identify the basic elements needed as a foundation for a communication plan, in order to meet the communication needs of a research/innovation project.
  • Communication and digital marketing. Managing and creating digital content helps improve the positioning and reputation of your business activity. This part of the training looks at design and SEO for digital content, as well as introducing participants to the different digital tools they can use.
