A website and visual brand for the MENA Migrant Health project
Some time ago, we were contracted to create a website and visual brand for MENA Migrant Health, a project led by the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) in partnership with other research institutes in Europe and North Africa. This project, funded by ”la Caixa” Foundation, is developing a tool to monitor the health of migrants in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, a global immigration hotspot, aimed to inform health policymakers and practitioners in the region.
We conceptualised the visual branding and communicative narrative of the project, and used this to create the logo, website, a brochure, and templates for the project documents.
At UbiK media, we’re passionate about diving into complex concepts and transforming them into something accessible and appealing. Creating a narrative that made the MENA Migrant Health more approachable and interesting without sacrificing rigour was a must, but given the social nature of this project, it was especially important to keep in mind the fair representation of each of the global stakeholders involved to ensure that their best interests were reflected in the dissemination of the project.
We thank ISGlobal and the other research institutes involved for entrusting us with such an important task.
MENA Migrant Health is one of the projects funded in the framework of the Mobility – Global Medicine and Health Research programme, a joint initiative with three other European Foundations: Nordisk Foundation (Denmark), the Wellcome Trust (United Kingdom) and the Volkswagen Foundation (Germany).
