It is said that the life of an artist is tough and ungrateful. Glory often comes late. Sometimes it doesn’t come at all. Never. Thousands of artists live and die anonymously. The Department of Art and Musicology from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona -in collaboration with the Secretaría de Estado de Investigación, Desarrollo e Innovación- has decided to put an end to this injustice here at home and begin a project that pretends to ellaborate a sistematic index of the medieval Catalan artists from XI to XV centuries. For this reason the website www.magistricataloniae.org has been created, teaming with another artist: Yago Partal; and in collaboration with us, UbiK media. The index will be a long-term project in which 150 authors, studios, masters and art schools from the medieval period.
