Online marketing training and consultancy for UPC centres and groups
10 research centres and groups at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) had to renew the TECNIO seal provided by ACCIÓ, the Agency for Business Competitiveness of the Generalitat de Catalunya. TECNIO is the brand created by ACCIÓ that brings together the main technology transfer agents in Catalonia. In this framework, an updated marketing plan is a mandatory requirement for the renewal of this seal, to have an updated marketing plan.
Faced with this need, UPC’s Technology Center (CIT) hired us to accompany the 10 R&I groups and centers with a 3-month training and advisory program. The objective? To accompany them in the development of their respective marketing plans.
The program was not new to UbiK, as we had successfully run it long ago for more than 20 R&I centers and groups with identical needs. What was novel was how we had to deliver it. The pandemic surprised us two weeks before it started, so all the sessions and dynamics, already conceptualized, had to be transformed to give rise to an online program.
Looking back, we corroborate that, despite the unforeseen events, the program worked perfectly. A fact that would not have been possible without the involvement and excellent attitude of all the participants, to whom we wish the best of luck with the achievement of their commercial objectives.
