Open Thoughts 2013 blog
We quickly plunge into Wikipedia to remember or confirm some data or fact; we are always watching for our social media; we save images, videos and documents in the cloud; we check online maps to know how to reach a concrete place; we search for flights and accommodation in webpages that compare hundreds of fares and possibilities in the blink of an eye…
It seems obvious that ICT are important in our lives, but are we really aware personally and professionally about the variety of possibilities they open? Are we in the position of making the most of them to build a world where decisions are taken in a smarter way?
To debate about these questions we have contributed along with the ICSO-HAROSA research group and the Research Support and Transfer Office (UOC) in a new edition of the Open Thoughts blog, which is asking Ready for a SMARTer world? We are pretty sure that the managing of this blog will give us new insights on the applications of technology, so stay tuned!
