Oral communication course for UAB doctorates in chemistry and materials

Last November we taught the course “Communicating Science: Presenting your results to an audience” to PhD students of the UAB Department of Chemistry and the Institut de Ciència de Materials de Barcelona (ICMAB, CSIC). The goal was simply to provide tools and techniques to attendees so that they will be able to successfully engage with interesting stakeholders when preparing their thesis.
The course was structured in two days that culminated in a practical exercise, where it became clear that the effort of all students was worth it. Indeed, all attendees did great when making an oral presentation about their research. Congratulations to all!
