Popular science videos for the UOC

Popular science videos for the UOC

This summer we have been working on three popular science videos about some research carried out by the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC). These audio-visuals are the outcomes of a grant conceded by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) to spread and disseminate UOC’s research.

The three videos address different topics. The first video explains the concepts of virtual and augmented reality, which allow enriching the physical environment with digital information. The second one emphasises how teens use the internet to get information about health issues, and what are the needs identified in this area. Finally, the third video is about simheuristics, a new discipline which integrates metaheuristics and simulation, so that it allows making more precise and useful predictions.

Anyway, you better have a look at the videos on the carousel heading this post, because sometimes it is quite true that an image is worth a thousand words.
