Reflection sessions for the creation of the UOC eHealth Center
Last autumn, we received an assignment from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) to contribute to the organization of a couple of reflection sessions as a first step towards the creation of a specialised centre in digital health: the eHealth Center. The future centre will specialise in research, training and advice on the use of technology to improve health and well-being among population.
Promoted by the Vice Presidency for Strategic Planning and Research and the Faculty of Health Sciences, the sessions were held on 10-11 November with the participation of different experts from the UOC. Our task consisted in the elaboration of a framework document to be used as a starting point for the conceptualization of the new centre. Under the title eHealth: Facts, Promises and Actors, the document provided information about the state of the art around eHealth, as well as its future challenges.
Besides, from UbiK we also took care of designing the different activities developed during the two days, as well as the work dynamics of the participants in order to fulfil the meeting’s goals. The results were more than satisfactory and we are confident that the determination of the team will make a success of the next steps ahead. So we are pretty sure we will be talking again about the UOC eHealth Center soon.
