SpinUOC 2025: Opening Doors to Innovation

SpinUOC 2025: Opening Doors to Innovation

At UbiK Media, we’re very proud to have once again organized SpinUOC, the flagship event for entrepreneurship and knowledge transfer at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC). Since the first edition in 2013, we’ve worked alongside the UOC in conceptualizing, producing, and staging this event, which each year brings together people from across the global entrepreneurial ecosystem.

This 13th edition, held for the first time at the UOC’s own headquarters, was a real challenge — and it turned into an amazing experience. Under the slogan “Opening Doors to Innovation,” the UOC was transformed into a warm and unique space where this year’s eight finalists successfully presented their projects.

On stage, Andrea Gumes, political scientist and cultural journalist at TV3, and Quim Masferrer, actor and presenter, hosted the event with great chemistry, connecting with the audience and fully embracing the spirit of the day.

And once again, we brought SpinRoom to life — the podcast released in the run-up to the event — now in its second edition and featuring new special segments such as “Entrepreneurship Doesn’t Come with an Instruction Manual” and “Word of the Guru,” both designed to inspire and support future entrepreneurs.

We also led the organization of the SpinUOC Dona Award, an initiative by the UOC in collaboration with the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (USC) aimed at showcasing and rewarding projects led by women in the Hubbik community — highlighting the vital importance of gender perspective in entrepreneurship.

In short, another edition of SpinUOC that reaffirms how the drive to innovate and create multiplies when shared. At UbiK media, we’re thrilled to continue being part of this story.
