The core family at UbiK media is made up of people who combine solid scientific training with over 15 years of experience in communication for R&D&I.
We are a multilingual team (Spanish, Catalan, English and French) with experience in both traditional and digital media.

With a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of London, Eva has worked in the field of scientific communication since 2003. She has extensive experience working on communications for projects and research centres and creating scientific and cultural activities. She spent four years as a scriptwriter and casting director for the Spanish television programme Redes. In 2006 she took the post of executive director for El cerebro social, a centre aimed at informing the general public about social neuroscience. In 2008 she was hired as Head of Communication for the Educational Technology Department at the UOC (Open University of Catalonia). She works regularly works on educational magazines and training courses. In 2011 she set up her own science communication agency, UbiK media, which she has been directing ever since.
With a PhD in particle physics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Silvia has worked in the field of science communication since 2001. She worked as an editor for the Spanish television programme Redes and has curated exhibitions for the Terrassa Museum of Science and Technology, “la Caixa” Foundation and the Regional Government of Catalonia. She was head of communications at the eLearn Centre at the UOC and the Catalan Institute of Palaeontology, and worked freelance for the Institute of High Energy Physics. In 2013 she joined the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she managed communications for the IceCube Neutrino Observatory and coordinated an international network of 50 collaborating institutions. She joined UbiK media in 2018 as an expert in strategic communication and social media management.




With a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Barcelona University, a Master’s in Scientific Communication from IDEC-Pompeu Fabra University and a graduate certificate in TV reporting from IDEC-UPF, Beatriz started to work in media in 2000, on the Spanish television programme Redes, where she spent 13 years as a scriptwriter. She also worked as a scriptwriter and documentary maker on other programmes for the same channel, mainly Leonart and Qué Animal. She has also collaborated as a freelance writer on audiovisual projects in the private sector, on radio and in the written press. She was editor of the magazine Redes para la Ciencia for two years and, since 2009, she has been teaching neurobiology and communication at Elisava, the Faculty of Design and Engineering of Barcelona at the University of Vic. Since 2024, she has also been collaborating as a professor of scientific communication at the Faculty of Philology and Communication at the University of Barcelona. Since 2011, she has been part of the audiovisual production and communication training team at UbiK media.
Laura has a degree in Biotechnology from the University of Valencia and a Master in Research and Advances in Molecular and Cellular Immunology from the University of Granada. She has collaborated in the study of endometriosis within the field of reproductive immunology. Interested in dissemination and scientific communication, in 2019 she completed a Master in Digital Marketing at the School of Industrial Organization (EOI) and Generation Spain (McKinsey & Company). In 2020 she joined UbiK media where her main tasks are: social media management, content writing, audiovisual creativity and digital communication.




Marta has a degree in Pharmacy and a Master in Molecular Biotechnology from the University of Barcelona. In 2018 she completed a Master’s Degree in Scientific, Medical and Environmental Communication at UPF Barcelona School of Management. Since then she has collaborated with Illustraciencia, the press department of the Vall d’Hebron Institut de Recerca (VHIR) and FarmaMundi.
In February 2020, she joined the UbiK media team as Community Manager.
With a degree in Environmental Biology from the University of Technology Sydney, Siobhan moved to London in 2013 shortly after graduating and started to develop her interest in digital communication and marketing while working at a creative agency where she was responsible for promoting the activities of clients such as the BBC. Her current post at UbiK media, where she started working in 2018, has allowed her to combine and further build on her interest in science and digital communications. Specifically, her main tasks at UbiK media include social media management, digital content development and communication training for scientists.




Julia has a degree in Genetics and master’s in History of Science and Technology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). She started working in the Communication Department of the Societat Catalana d’Història de la Ciència i de la Tècnica (SCHCT), where she discovered her passion for explaining the history of science. Her interest in science communication led her to pursue a Master’s degree in Scientific, Medical and Environmental Communication at the UPF School of Management. Since then, in her professional career, she has worked in several scientific institutions such as the Institut de Recerca Sant Joan de Déu, Fundació iSYS and the Institut de Recerca de Sant Pau. In August 2023, she joined UbiK media where her main tasks are digital communication, multimedia and strategic communication.
Marcel Vives has a degree in Biomedical Sciences and a Master in Neurosciences from the University of Barcelona. From 2019 to 2021, he has contributed to the research on cellular and molecular pathways and mechanisms involved in Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and Huntington’s diseases at the Biochemistry Unit of the Faculty of Medicine (University of Barcelona).
In September 2021, Marcel started the postgraduate course in science communication co-organized by Eduscopi and the University of Vic. Shortly after, he joined UbiK media as a communication technician, contributing to the management of social networks, content writing and digital communication.




She holds a degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Barcelona and a Master’s in Illustration and Scientific Communication from the University of the Basque Country. During her time as a researcher at the Neural Development Laboratory at IDIBELL, she identified a gap in the scientific community: the challenge of effectively communicating discoveries to the public. Since then, she has focused on scientific communication and outreach in various formats. In February 2024, she joined Ubik, where her main responsibilities include content writing, digital communication, and social media management.
Holding degrees in Biology and Biotechnology from the University of Girona, Maria has worked in clinical molecular biology, biomedical therapies development, and research on inflammation and neurodegeneration. Passionate about the many disciplines of science and its dissemination, in 2023, she embarked on a career in science communication, approaching it from a transdisciplinary and creative perspective. She developed her own project, using fashion as a tool for science outreach. In 2024, she joined the UbiK Media team to apply her technical and creative expertise to a variety of projects, where her main responsibilities include digital communication, content writing, social media management, and Paid Media strategy.




She holds a degree in Biotechnology from the University of Barcelona and a Master’s in Project Management and Pharmaceutical Marketing from the Biotechnology Business Institute. Elena worked in marketing departments of pharmaceutical companies, where she discovered her passion for science communication and public engagement. This led her to pursue a postgraduate degree in Science Communication, organized by the University of Vic and Eduscopi. In 2024, she joined UbiK, where her main responsibilities include social media management, content writing, and digital communication.
With a Biology Degree from the University of Alcalá and a Master’s in Oceanography and Marine Environment Management from the University of Barcelona, Nuria has built her career in science communication, environmental education, and digital communication. She has collaborated on outreach projects in schools, museums, and digital platforms, specializing in content creation and adapting scientific knowledge for a wide range of audiences. In 2024, she joins UBIK, where her main responsibilities include project management, digital communication, and content writing.




Graduated in Literary Studies from the University of Barcelona and holding a Master’s degree in Specialized Communication from the same institution, Eulàlia has focused her career on institutional communication and social media management. She has worked at the Centre for Contemporary Studies of the Government of Catalonia and at the European Parliament, where she contributed to political and social outreach projects. In 2025, she joined UbiK media as a communications officer, focusing on content writing, digital communication, and social media management.
Graduated in Biology and Environmental Sciences from the University of Girona, and holding a master’s degree in Science-Specialised Communication from the University of Barcelona, Michelle has taken part in research projects related to agroecology, as well as in research communication and outreach activities. Motivated by a desire to strengthen the relationship between science and society, she joined UbiK in 2025 as a junior communication officer.




Blanca holds a degree in Graphic Design and Visual Communication from BAU, University Center of Arts and Design in Barcelona. She continued her training at BAU with courses in screen printing and graphic post-production. Throughout her career, she has worked on editorial, corporate, and web projects, gaining experience in various areas of the creative sector. In 2018, she joined the UbiK Media team as a graphic design intern, and she now holds the position of art director and graphic communicator. As part of her journey at UbiK Media, she has received training in branding and brand management, as well as PDF accessibility. Her role combines graphic design with the supervision and management of the creative team.
Having graduated in Illustration at the Escuela de Arte y Superior de Diseño Pablo Picasso and Master in Digital Graphic Design at the Escuela Superior Marcelo Macías, she has developed her experience in several foundations and agencies in Vigo, London and Barcelona, in the areas of communication, content, creativity and strategy. Her proactivity and innate organisational skills led her to become an art director and to participate in the organisation of various cultural events. On a personal level, she has participated with her art in several collective exhibitions.
Her experience in both design and illustration has given her a wide range of technical and creative tools, with which she joins UbiK media in 2023 to bring extra creativity to our projects.




Graduated in Graphic Design and holding a Master’s degree in Motion Graphics from IDEP Barcelona, Abel has been working in design in all its forms for over twelve years. He has been involved on branding, editorial design, web, illustration, lettering, and motion graphics projects, which has allowed him to develop a global and versatile view of the creative process.
His passion for visual communication, combined with his aesthetic sensitivity, strategic thinking, and attention to detail, has led him to take on roles in art direction and project coordination. In 2025, he joins the design team at UbiK media, where he always applies his guiding principle: design should work, move, and communicate with clarity.
Ana Tejedor is an audiovisual producer and photographer, graduated in Audiovisual Communication from the University of Seville. In 2020, she completed the Master in Scientific, Medical and Environmental Communication at UPF-BSM, specializing in the creation of scientific content. She has directed the documentary No sé nada de gaviotas, presented at national and international festivals and other documentaries such as 5 700 tones. She completed a Master’s in Photography in 2023, with an awarded scholarship by PHotoEspaña. Moreover, she is currently furthering her training in authorial documentary photography at El Observatorio. Additionally, she is developing Tinto®, a photographic project about the Tinto River and its surroundings, which has been exhibited at PHotoEspaña, in Seville, and in Barcelona, and is part of her ongoing visual research. She currently collaborates with UbiK media in the creation of science communication videos, event coverage, and film productions, while also working with other clients in the scientific field.


Silvia holds a degree in Advertising and Public Relations from Blanquerna, Ramon LLull University. She worked in several media centers (Optimedia and Mediaplanning among others), and communication agencies as an account executive and media expert. She joined UbiK media in December 2020 after 10 years living in Mexico and Argentina. Currently, she manages the entire Back Office of the agency.




Passionate about interspecies communication, she started her career at UbiK media at the early age of 3 months as an emotional manager. Her main tasks include cheering up her colleagues with long licks and frantic zigzags with her tail; in times of intense work, she is able to emit soothing snort-like snores that help to slow down the pulse of the office. When she deems it appropriate, she also activates the team’s alertness through quick thefts or inconsequential surgical bites. She combines her work at UbiK media with advanced studies in Electricity and Materials Science, specializing in stripping wires connected to the network and shredding any kind of solid.
