The project main outcomes consisted on building an <a href=\"http:\/\/trams.rdi.uoc.edu\/en\/assess-your-cpg-full\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">online tool<\/a> to assess <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Medical_guideline\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">clinical practice guidelines<\/a> (CPG) quality and, at the same time, to offer dissemination strategies adapted to both the obtained results and the different audiences targeted.<\/p>\n<p>Held at the <a href=\"http:\/\/aquas.gencat.cat\/es\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Catalan Agency for Health Assessment and Quality<\/a> (AQuAS) headquarters, the event counted with the presence of the Health Minister of the Catalan Government, Antoni Com\u00edn; the AQuAS director, Antoni Dedeu; and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.biocat.cat\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Biocat<\/a> director, Albert Barber\u00e0. Needless to say, the TRAM-S team was also there. Funded by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III, the project was born within the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.translabudg.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Laboratory of Translational Medicine and Decision Sciences<\/a> (University of Girona) and coordinated, later on, by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uoc.edu\/portal\/en\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Open University of Catalonia<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The multiple assignments we conducted for TRAM-S\u2013dissemination plan, website and outcomes&#8217; presentation event\u2013has allowed us to be familiar with translational medicine, which focuses on reducing the gap between health research and clinical practice. In this sense, CPGs are one of the most used tools, but sometimes it takes more than a decade for a measure or recommendation to be implemented. For this reason, the search for solutions from a communication perspective has been pursued in the frame of the project.<\/p>\n<p>Both the online assessment tool and the associated <a href=\"http:\/\/trams.rdi.uoc.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/TRAM-S-Dissemination-Model_FinalV_EN.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CPG dissemination plan<\/a> have been developed as a product of the research conducted within the project by a multidisciplinary team of health researchers, sociologists and health professionals, together with UbiK media&#8217;s know how on science communication.
